What people say about birthday party venues
Marie O. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Olga’s space was perfect for my birthday dinner. The caretaker was extremely accomodating and helpful. Everyone had a great time and we would definitely use it again.Alan K. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I booked this space at the very last minute when my original plan for a small birthday gathering fell through. Olga, the space manager, was fabulous in communicating quickly and clearly and in going out of her way to accommodate my last minute needs. The space itself was a perfect, pleasant venue for our celebration and I could not feel more pleased and taken care of in using it. I am happy to give Olga and the space high marks in every regard and to recommend them for anyone’s event.Suly C. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The place was perfect for our birthday murder mystery dinner. Olga was on point with communication and James with accommodations. We had 22 people there was plenty of space. I would recommend this venue for parties 30 people or less. The place was spotless music played at modorate level we also got 30 mins to clean up.Nina H. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I just made a terrific birthday party at The Cafe. Olga and James were available and very helpful from the get go through the end My friends and I would plan another party there.Ting L. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This uptown venue was private, spacious, and cozy indeed! It resembled the pictures shown but was not as modern and neat as I have expected. However, it still served as a really good space to entertain guests of about 15 for my birthday party. It was very convenient to get to and located in a very nice neighborhood. The host James was very friendly, warm, and accomodating. I highly recommend this space for private events and will consider booking again in the future!Leila R. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I would probably give 4.5 stars. We had my grandfather’s 96th birthday here, with food, cake, drinks, and music. Pros: A very beautiful, quiet space with lots of natural light. James seems to live next door and was available whenever we needed him, including bringing an extra table for food, a tablecloth, and ice, and showing up with supplies when it was time for us to clean up. Olga stopped by near the end to say hello. There is a little alcove that can be used to prepare food or drinks. We looked at professional venues, like the JCC or local hotels, but all were at least 3 times as expensive and required us to use their preferred caterer (and sometimes spend several thousand in catering). This space was inexpensive, lovely, personal and intimate, and we could bring whatever food/drink we wanted. Also, I had no problem finding parking out front. Cons: The space is a little smaller than it looks in the pictures. The ad suggests there is seating for 50. This might be technically true but we had ~30 and it was a little crowded because a small part of the room is on the other side of the stairs and this makes it hard to use this part. There is an elevator, but every time you want to use it to go up you have to ask someone to operate it. I was never sure why this was the case. You can go down by yourself! The only faucet is in the bathroom down the hall. That makes getting water a little gross. I don’t think it’s explicitly stated, but this venue is part of a church and there is a lot of religious decoration. I was informed that the piano is not really in tune, although it was close enough to use.
